Five athletic, and what built them
Five women on the roster are filed athletic, and in every case there is something behind the word. A park loop several mornings a week, a boxing gym off Mare Street, a pool at York Hall, a boat on the Thames at an hour most people would call unreasonable. None of it is decorative and none of them talks about it unless you ask.
They run from 158 cm to 172 cm, so this is a frame page rather than a height page. Build and measurement come from the same record as everywhere else on the site, taken standing and without heels.
Toned and athletic, on the board
172 cm, and trains for it
Angelika is athletic through the shoulders with a long stride and no fuss in how she moves, black hair straight and long, brown eyes that read a room in one pass. She works the EC2A and E1 end of Shoreditch, arrives two minutes early, and the punctuality tells you more about her than any list of adjectives would.
169 cm, shoulders from swimming
Laura is athletic at 169 cm, the shoulders from a pool rather than a gym, with long light brown hair carrying a sun kissed streak and green eyes that go pale under the market lights. She swims at York Hall most weeks and can describe the smell of it with unnecessary accuracy. She eats like somebody who has been swimming, which is worth knowing before you book a table.
166 cm, and quick across a park
Nora is athletic at 166 cm, honey blonde, hazel eyed, and moves like somebody who runs the London Fields loop several mornings a week. She swims in the lido from April onwards and is hard to rattle in any weather. Simple clothes, well fitted, and a jacket she can put over a chair and forget about for three hours.
162 cm, compact and strong
Sonya is athletic at 162 cm, compact and strong through the shoulders, dark brown hair worn straight, hazel eyes that take their time. She rows on the Thames before most of the City is awake and has a historian's appetite for the docks. Early thirties, restrained in what she wears, and completely uninterested in being impressed.
158 cm, and built like a runner
Tina is the smallest measurement in the book and the most obviously strong frame on this page. Long espresso brown hair, an economical way of moving, and three mornings a week at a boxing gym off Mare Street, about which she is entirely matter of fact. Late evenings in Hackney are her usual work and she is the reason they run long.
What this page is not
A ranking, a fitness claim or a promise about anything. Build is described here the way hair colour is described, because it is a fact on a form, and nothing on this page is graded against anything else. Nobody here is on this list for being more anything than another woman on the roster.
Where the five also sit, and how to book
Two of the five are on petite, three on brunettes and one on blondes. Sonya is on thirties and beyond. These are good names for an evening with walking in it, which in this part of London is most of them. Send booking an hour and an address; the figures start at £250 and sit on rates.
Other shortlists
The trains stop. We do not.
One message with the date, the time and the postcode, and the rest of the night is arranged quietly, anywhere from Hoxton down to the basin at Limehouse.
